Summer 2020 events: concerts in Piazza Plebiscito
One of the symbols of the city, Piazza Plebiscito, will host a series of San Carlo Theater summer concerts. Among these stand out:
- Thursday 30 July at 8.15pm: Ludwig van Beethoven / IX SYMPHONY.

Estate in mostra: markets, sports, shows and gastronomy
From the 27th June to 20th September 2020, the Estate in Mostra event will take place at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples. Every weekend, from Friday to Sunday, at € 1 cost, you can:
- Visit the dedicated to antiques, collectibles and crafts market.
- Eat at one of the many take away food points.
- Watch the light show at 10pm.
- Pedaling inside the exhibition with bike tours.

Reopenings: San Gennaro’s catacombs can be visited again
The reopening that took place during the weekend of 26 -28 stands out. This site, located between Rione Sanità and Capodimonte, has been managed for 10 years by the boys of the La Paranza cooperative, headed by Father Antonio Loffredo, the parish priest of the Basilica of Santa Maria alla Sanità.
The Catacombs of San Gennaro represent the very close connection that the Neapolitan people have with their ancestors. In fact, the underground world is the burial place of loved ones.
These, together with the saints (San Gennaro in particular) have always been present in Naples’s culture.
The numerous sacred images that populate all the alleys and houses of the city bear witness to this.
